There are several ways you can determine the success of your podcast and whether it has a positive return on investment.
I wrote the article “9 Ways to Determine ROI of Your Podcast,” to answer these questions.
Remember, the success of your podcast is relative to your goal. That said, there are a number of foolproof ways you can determine your podcast’s return on investment.
- Number of downloads.
- Sponsorship and Ad Revenue.
- Podcast Reviews.
- Site Traffic and Conversions.
- Email sign-ups, Open-rates, and Engagement.
- Networking and Referrals.
- Relationship Building.
- Generating or Repurposing Content.
- Learning and Education.
- It’s fun!
How do you determine if your podcast is worth it? More isn’t always better. I’ve seen very successful podcasts with a small audience of dedicated followers. Sometimes, it’s the people you meet. Sometimes, it’s the money you make or the opportunity your podcast produces. Regardless, I encourage you to know why you are doing it and so that you can measure if it is worth it.
I’ll answer the question “How do I get more listeners?” on the next episode! Meet you there!
